A hazy shade of winter
Why does the weather have such a strong effect on my mood? You’d think, I’d have overcome it by now.
Today was bleehhhhch! One of those days, that blend with a score of others over the years to be forgotten. On the bright side, I had an excellent cup of coffee this morning.
Hey, I forgot to tell you about yesterday morning’s drama. Driving in to work 83 was backed up thanks to all the lovely APRIL snow, so I took some back roads in. While on Falls Road, what do I see? A blue Chevy Suburban, standing on its hood in a huge gully. The driver has lost control, driven right through the guard rail and into the ditch. The lights were still on, so I stopped and helped the driver, get out. She was shaken up, after just dropping her kids off at St Paul’s, but ok, only a bruised ankle. The SUV was completely totaled, the rear axle was ripped off and hanging on the guard rail by itself. Can you imagine? I called the police and let her call her husband on my cell, then waited until help arrived. Nothing major really, but my shoes are trashed from all the mud when helping her get out.
No phone calls to talk about today, I think I need some time to myself so will go into “monk mode” for a few days to recharge. At least for another two nights. We’ll see about Friday.
