Since secondhandwhore nudged me to update, I figure I should. I miss her and the rest of the Albany crew (which is mainly Jesse, Emily, Robert, and Hannah). I miss a bunch more people, but the list is really long, so I'll leave it at the Albany crew for now.

So here is the view out my window:

The space needle looks a little funny with the "Christmas Tree" lights on top. It doesn't normally look that odd. It normally looks more space-needle-y. In case you didn't figure it out, I live in downtown Seattle. (Come visit!)

There's a nice Japanese restaurant down the street named Wasabi Bistro. Here's some of their food:

The orange thing on the bottom right is a butterfly carved out of a carrot. It was really cool. I wish I had gotten a better picture.

So there's lots of stuff to do in downtown Seattle. I've been to see Nine Inch Nails, Goldfinger, and Reel Big Fish since I've been here. I'm going to get together a group to go see The Wedding Singer: The Musical. I've started playing Texas Hold-Em with some friends. I'm not that good. Me and some friends go bar hopping fairly regularly. We also went skiing a few weeks before Christmas break. It's nice to have a ski place an hour and a half away.

I've made some new friends since moving here (along with hanging out with people from RIT: Paul Wheeler, Pat Skinner, Chris Becker). My friend Justin lives right across the street. That's very convenient when meeting up. I commute into Redmond everyday on the 545 bus. It's fabulous. I read my book (currently Effective C++) and don't have to worry about hitting people in my car.

I spend a lot of time at work. If you didn't know, I work at the evil empire. Working for the man is really not so bad. And you get to see the business decisions that go into making Office what it is. It's neat. It's provides a lot more clarity on why Microsoft makes some of the decisions that it does. And that's all I'm going to say about that. :P

I told my boss today that it'd be nice to move to Silicon Valley, California at some point (1-10 years from now). Now that's a solid date for you. So if you wait that long to visit, you'll have to come to California instead. I'll explain more if you want to know. It's by far not set in stone. But the weather's nicer, the pay is better, and the social scene is probably just as good (besides not knowing anyone).

This is getting too long, so I'm going to stop. I never seriously read posts longer than this. If you want to know more, ask.
