The Neo Geo is shot. Kaput. The guy has informed me no matter what he's tried, the damn thing still has problems. Much as I didn't want to, my stimulus check looks to be going towards a new neo geo!
Also, in what is the weirdest crossover in video game history, look no further than Castle Shikigami 3. Who remembers Time Gal? No one. It's a weird game like Dragon's Lair, where you push inputs at certain times so your animated character doesn't die. It got ported to Sega CD, but the original release is from 1985. In CS3, the main character of Time Gal, Reika, has been redesigned and brought back as one of the playable characters. What the hell? Who said "which obscure 80s character should be dumped in this niche game release?" The game is pretty fun though.
Also, if you enjoy shooting games, and Pac-Man Champion Edition, Star Soldier R from the Wii Ware is really fun. It has a 2 minute, 5 minute, and "quick shot" mode. You play in these for a set amount of time, seeing how high a score you can get. Really fun, really competitive game!
