HAPPY new year!
When I first moved back to south Florida, I didn't really have any sense of belonging. I was always either someone's daughter, someone's sister, or someone's girlfriend. But after five months, I finally feel like I found my own life here. I begin my CAREER in about a day, I have met or reunited with so many great people over the past few weeks, and I have never felt closer with the important people in my life. Little things are making me so happy too, like my parents taking me furniture shopping for the apartment I'll be getting soon, or watching Freaks and Geeks with Mikey while drinking really good wine, or getting the crap scared out of me and Missy on new year's eve, or when Tanya tells me every way possible how important I am as a friend to her, or even the bad dates, because that made me realize what I need. And that is to keep finding ways to make myself happy. And then someday, maybe I can share that happiness with someone truly great.
