No, this isn't about zombies again.
The short version of this story is that I called Microsoft up to verify a change they made to my credit card. As the woman on the other end is clacking away on her keyboard, she apologizes and tells me that her computer is working slowly. I ask what version of Windows she's got there, and she tells me WinXP Pro. Why am I not surprised? :)
On another note: don't buy into the hype and purchase Windows Vista. Look at the feature list:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/features/default.mspx There's nothing there that can't already be done, even on Windows 2000, a six year old OS. Even the prettied-up desktop. Keep in mind that Vista will also perpetuate the WORST part of any operating system ever developed: the registry. Nuff said.
