Who's more at risk of a heart attack: Your dad, or my dog?

Oct 26, 2005 18:42

It's official. The Vet Lab called back today and told me that my dog, tucker is SEVERELY hypothyroid. Basically meaning his thyroid doesnt produce enough TSH, which leads to the following symptoms:

Fatigue
Intolerance to cold
Depression
Weight gain
Weakness
Constipation
Hair loss
Menstrual irregularities

Finally! A solution for all the menstuation problems that he's been having!!!

What's funny about this is that he is SO hypothyroid that he's actually at risk for a doggy-style heart attack. I told the doc "dogs dont get heart attacks, stupid" but she said tuckers a fat slob and its not only possible--its probable. So soon enough he'll be on meds thatll make him a real dog. Maybe he'll get the strength to finally eat giorgio.
