Random updating
List of random things, I feel the need to mention and type about.
* Got a new matress this weekend. Whoop, no more sleeping on the futon mattress on the floor for me. It's very comfy, the new mattress. Now I have to look and shop for my bedroom decor. I've been pondering the idea of reds and purples.
* Yay for Arizona's economy. With the windfall in sales taxes, I and my fellow teachers got an extra 300 bucks from Prop 301 funds. And right before black Friday too. Sweet.
* Hanging out with TFA people. Yeah I enjoy them all, and how can I not, bunch of extremely attractive liberal individuals, yet all we do is talk about teaching. Well when we're not doing karaoke at least (where I did receive a proposal of marriage after my exquisite performance). I can only handle so much talk of teaching. Politics is my love.
* And as I've become more acclimated to my schedule, what with TFA things, Rio coursework, class stuff, teaching stuff, lesson planning, and all that jazz, I'm slowly getting back into the political thing. Last week, my ex boss Pam invited me and my good friend for girl talk with the governor and some wine. It was awesome, there were like 13 people there. My ex boss was also the one who brought me to Phoenix last spring for the Barack Obama breakfast with like 18 people. Though my kind of ex boss, aka Rich Pam, aka botox bruise Pam, needs to remember my name. And she has major new implants.
* I have only 29 students now, so it's a somewhat normal class size. But it pissed me off, because for the time I had 38 students, I didn't have enough desks. And I was observed by someone from the district, and so my principal called a 2 weeks later (after our class sizes were reduced with the new teacher coming and all, and new desks ordered) to ask how long I had students on the floor. I'm all well we didn't have enough desks, as I told you several times in person, via email and whatnot, and we got 3 new students after we put in the desk order and you wouldn't order extra desks, that's why I had students on the floor. Ugh.
* YDA coming to Phoenix this coming weekend. And I have a sub, that'll be interesting. I haven't been to anything YDA since Buffalo (BLo) in 2003. Ages.
* I've become the epitome of TFA efficiency, my trip in Trader Joes took all of 10 minutes. You give yourself a big goal and strive to achieve it. lol. And my favorite cashier checked me out.
