Yesterday i was standing at the Yonge and Wellesley intersection, looking through my bag or something and this guy, who was quite big, shoulder length black hair, dressed very metro, walked in to my elbow as it was moving back - i didn't think it was that big of a deal - it was more like a brush AND he had a pretty big belly so i would think that would provide a little bit more extra cushioning - but i guess it was because as he was walking away he continuously gave me the cuteye until he turned the corner, about 200m away - as if he was going to all of a sudden charge at me with a bat- it was very awkward standing there while this gave stared at me for about 3 mins.. but i couldn't help but laugh after he was outta sight... i'm sure i wouldn't made this better if i laughed while he was giving me the stinkeye
So today is officially my last day at Dragon Boat... it's just me and michael in this office... we're getting tonnes of work done i needed to take a break and write in live journal. Nothing too exciting happening in my life this past couple of weeks. Dragonboat festival was a success. Apparently it was one of the best run festivals, proving to mike's dad that we're not lazy, just very very efficient. There really was nothing to complain about, except for one of the TCBA directors named Benny... what a fucking tool. She's was on some sort of power trip, hoging the golf carts to do god knows what, while rob and brian were stuck on the other side with no way to get around when they needed to. Then she bitches at me and rob on separate occasions to ask why we need a cart. Her son is just as much as a tool as she was. He actually told rob's cousin that he was more important than him because he is a director's son. 'he's like 14 years old too. But all tools aside, the festival was a lot of fun, work, and food. I was exhausted by the end, as was everyone else who helped.
So I've been looking for more parttime work.. I don't know exactly where to go. I hate retail, but i have applied to a few stores on Queen, mainly for the discounts. Essentially i would just like to waitress somewhere, but i don't have any waitressing experience, so it's harder to get hired. I never really understood this: you need to have experience to get hired, but if noone will give you a chance unless you have done it before, where are you supposed to get your experience? Ahhh oh well.. I may just have to rely on mr. loan
We found this great place right at Yonge and Eglinton for september - big rooms, laundry and a deck in the backyard - my stomach is in knots because i'm afraid we might not get our papers in on time to the landlord - please pray for me..
GOing to montreal for about 5 days with Yammers - should be fun. i will give details afterwards - maybe it will give me something to write and reflect about
Garbage day
