I have just now finished with the preparations for our next creative writing meeting tomorrow. The powerpoint presentation is 52 sheets long! But still - there is less material in it than there was in the last one. We should be able to work through it without a problem tomorrow evening.
Still, better be prepared for a long evening everyone.
There will be lots of writing involved, and that always takes time.
We will work based on the second part of Jeff Gerke's book "Plot vs. Character". And it will be lots of work again - I'm not going to deny that. But I feel that it is necessary to bring everyone to a similar level (some have just now started developing new story ideas, while others have been working on theirs for a year already).
At the end of tomorrow's meeting, everyone will have at least a rough plot outline. This is necessary, because starting in April we will begin working more detailed on different parts of the story. But in order to do that, everyone will need a solid starting point - something to work with. And that is what we will be creating at the meeting tomorrow.
So, please, don't feel discouraged if you're a bit overwhelmed at the next meeting. I will provide the .ppt for everyone at the end of the meeting, so you can go through it again at your leisure. And we will keep honing and polishing your plots in the coming months.
