a little slow on the uptake

21. Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy  - Douglas Adams.  Freaking LOVED it! OMG, how have I not read this earlier?  Cracked my ass up and was such an easy read (with the exception of names, lol).  I started reading it on my phone through an app I found, and had to buy the book.  I'll probably continue on with the rest of them. 4++

22. Trace - Patricia Cornwall.  Another of the Kay Scarpetta books, which I enjoy reading. The ending was a bit anti-climatic but I've noticed that many of her stories are. Good solid read, but not something I'd pick up again any time soon. 3.

Doja got fixed earlier this week and had some pretty bad hematoma's repaired in her ears. She has 16 stiches in one ear and 5 in the other.  She is not happy with her "cone of shame" and Gunner is very displeased that he is not allowed to play with her.  On the flip side, it is doing wonders for getting them both used to their crates.

School is almost out for the kids and I can honestly say I am not looking forward to it.  It's so much more expensive to feed my family when 5 of the 6 of us are at home all day.  Even with added chores and whatnot to keep the kids "busy" they still have way more time to sit around and that inevitably leads to snacking or at the very least, food being more accessable when they are hungry.  And...I might be just a little peeved that they all get 3 months off and can sleep in while I still take my happy ass to work 5 out of 7 days a week. :(
