Northwest Asian American Film Festival

As some of you know, I am involved with the local Northwest Asian American Theatre. After the success of two film series, the theatre is putting on the first Northwest Asian American Film Festival. I haven't viewed any of the films myself yet, but my friend Wing was involved in the review process and has given me his word that it is an excellent collection of local talent and upcoming artists. It also appears to explore a number of interesting issues related to the community (such as the roles of sex and violence within film). In addition, NWAAT is a neat organization that has put on some wonderful shows in the past; the proceeds go back into the theatre to support local Asian American arts.
