Despite the gloomy quote above (Erich Fromm), and despite my expectations admittedly being rather cynical (I expect to pass all my courses with intuition rather than studying - its always worked before..!), I'm experiencing a familiar excitement this first day of class!  And its all going good so far.

I've mentioned it in less concise terms before, but I believe there are several states of life and existance, though their boundaries do flux between each other.
