Heh.
SO TODAY STARTED OFF WITH A DISASTER. And by disaster I mean I discovered that our little freezer was off and all the meat in it had defrosted.
If you remember my post about mince a while ago? Yeah. A LOT OF MEAT. Luckily most of the mince was in the other freezer, and the rest of the meat was cryovac'd, and it was all still cold enough that it could go in the fridge instead of being wasted, but still. Disaster! SO MUCH MEAT.
Soooo I made hamburgers for lunch - cooked up a kilo's worth of mince made into burgers, will have lunch for ages. And we had mince and beans for dinner, which mmmmm, even if they were canned beans. (I like raw beans, okay? They just need at least 8 hours to soak, so, yeah. Not practical in disaster situations.)
Spent a lot of time other than that faffing around, but I did get some editing done, at least. Last chapter left, but it's the hard and stressful one, so I'm pretty pleased I didn't just run away from it all day.
Actually read some doujin, which. Okay, I like art, but I don't read doujin, because a lot of doujin have porn, and while I've learned to deal with porn in text art still squicks me the fuck out, just ew ew ew no. (I have issues. I'm mostly okay with them.)
BUT ANYWAY, I was poking the tumblr of someone who reblogged one of the things I posted, as I sometimes do, when there's no autoplay and the layout doesn't make me want to smash things (which is rarer than you'd think), and it had a link to an icon post. Which had a Roxas icon, the lineart of which made me go !!!, because I've been looking for an icon for my 'domming the fuck out of you' keywords for him for a while now. (Have I mentioned I've found a form of RP that doesn't make me freak out? Yeah. We've been doing it over a year now, weirdly enough.) But I didn't like the colouring so much, and there was a mention of what doujins the icons came from in the comments, so...
Anyway, I ended up reading a couple, which were actually worksafe, yay! And I found the picture, and coloured it, and then uh. I had thoughts. SO, INTERNETS. WHICH ICON DO YOU LIKE BETTER?
I'm super weak to grayscale-with-a-splash-of-colour, so I'm utterly non-objective. And Iono about the text, whether to have it at all or in which configuration. I like them all in some ways! But. Yeah. @__@ What do you think?
Oh, and if anyone cares the doujin is called "Poppies", and it's actually Sora/Riku with Roxas bitching Sora out in his head. In a nice way. You know. It was kind of a PITA to get, because the sub group's LJ is deleted and purged, even once I managed to find out who that was, so! If you want it I'll upload it for you! ^^
Did a bit of knitting - think I've managed to figure out the 'tension' thing now. It was okay for a while, then I started doing it way too tight - so tight it was a bitch to move the stitches off the needle - but now I think it's okay again. .o/ Progress! And read some fic, which is. Less bad than I initially expected, but still pretty ridiculously bad. But it's a dorky HSAU, and so far it's not the most melodramatic angstastic backstory I've ever read and enjoyed, so! |D And I can actually knit while reading, so! :D:D:D

HMMM. - Pokémon, which I do still write in crossover form. (I actually woke up this morning going !!! VEN IS TOTALLY JIRAICHI! WHICH HE SO COULD BE. He Terra and Aqua could also be Rayquaza-Groundon-Kyogore. Or he could be Virizion. SO MANY POSSIBILITIES.
But if Ven was Jiraichi you could have Lea as Victini! I wanted Isa to be a tiny and cute legendary too, but none of them really fit him. =/ But maybe Cobalion, though that does make you wonder who Terrakion would be. @___@
SoRiKai might be the lake trio, and - OKAY THIS IS TOTALLY OFF TOPIC shutting up now.)
- I think I wrote a few CCS drabbles? Not so much with the writing on that, though I went through a reading phase a few times.
- Ditto Bleach and Detective Conan.
- Wrote quite a lot of Yuugiou! Maybe 100K all up, if you include the NaNo that never left my computer (thank fuck). I wasn't really writing longfic back then, Iono why. Occasionally write things over in that 'verse, but not so much at the moment.
- Same with xxxHolic, though I never wrote that much to begin with. Holic's always been more about the canon, for me, though I did fic-binge a few times.
- Oh, and a few Zelda drabbles and crossovers, though really Zelda is a gaming love, not a fandom for me. I've never even really read fic, other than poking it with a stick once or twice.
- AND THEN WE HAVE KINGDOM HEARTS. I - don't know how much KH fic I've written. If you include stuff that's never been posted it's almost certainly over 400K. Probably more like 500. AND YEAH, STILL GOING STRONG. <3<3<3<3 I LOVE MY STUPID FANDOM THIIIIIIS MUCH.
