Hi everyone,
I couldn’t sleep again. Its two o’clock in the morning so I decided to update you all on Tyler.
Tyler went to see his leg doctor yesterday and they said he’s doing fine. It was a long day. Left at eleven, didn’t get home till four. We saw the doctor and then Tyler had to have a lot of papers filled out so he can have a home bound teacher come out when he’s not able to go to school. We don’t want him to get behind. I sat in the car with his two brothers a while and inside a while. It’s hard when you have to take all the other kids, but we don’t have a choice most the time. Anyway, we all survived.
Monday is a trip to Charleston to the cancer clinic that takes about three and half hours there and then again back. We will be driving straight through and turning around coming back the same day. My goodness I sure hope all the kids are in a good mood. Jayden has been such a good boy lately. Nathan is being a screamer, ethan a cry baby and our Tyler is always sweet. He never complains, no matter how long the trips are.
Tyler will get scans and heart test, blood work done at MUSC Children’s Cancer Clinic. Tyler will see the doctor here on Wednesday to take a look at his jaw, then in two more weeks Tyler goes to Maryland to see Dr. Rodriguez about his jaw. He’s looking forward to seeing Dr. Rodriguez. He’s such a wonderful doctor. Trying to get things arranged with Flight of Hope. Tyler and family will be staying at the Ronalda McDonald house if they have a room for us. If not we will have to find some where else.
I won’t be going this time. Tyler, his grandfather and Ashley will be going. This will be the first trip I haven’t went with him, but I am sure his mom and papa George will take good care of him. I have not been feeling too well and under a doctor’s care, so i will stay home with Nathan. Tyler’s dad will keep Jayden.
Once again, thank each of you for your love and support. There are so many people that love and care about Tyler. Without you, we couldn’t get Tyler to all the medical appointments. You know who you are. Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Unless you have a sick child you cannot even imagine all the child and family go through. Even though it’s hard, we do it. We fight to be sure the cancer monster never returns. I ask God every day to help all these kids and their families. Please pray for a cure.
Like I said before, I never let a day go by that I don’t tell all four boys that I love them. You don’t know what tomorrow may bring. We love you all so much and need you to keep Tyler and our family in your prayers.
Tyler’s birthday is on the 9th. I cannot believe he’s going to be ten years old. He’s getting so tall, but still way to skinny…
