I'm offering fic of at least 1000 words in any of my fandoms including Batman, Jossverse, Star Trek TOS, Star Trek XI, Star Trek RPF, and Heroes. Or anything else I've either written in or showed vague interest in.
I decided to give my money to Doctors Without Borders early on, but I really couldn't be prouder of all that fandom's been doing. help_haiti is filled with awesome, awesome people offering fic and art and graphics and even more awesome people bidding, ontd_startrek has raised nearly $6,000 overnight at their Unicef page (as well as getting direct tweets from Zachary Quinto and Tyler Shields about it, which makes me love them both that much more), ontd_ai and ontd_startrek are now in a donation-competition...I love fandom.
My facebook (the home of rl people) has been filled with banality and general trivialness for the last few days, and my friends list here (the place I go for my daily dose of fangirlish triviality) has been filled with generosity and optimism and people being constructive, and it honestly makes me want to cry a little bit. It's really easy to feel helpless in a situation like this, and just knowing that people are responding, and responding so quickly and with such a great attitude...it's amazing to see.
