Haven't been doing this lately, and probably won't be doing it much in the future for awhile, cause a couple things have happened. First, in my RC poetry class one of our everyday assignments is to keep a daily journal, not that that's an issue for me obviously, but that means that LJ would make 3 journals a day and that seems a little excessive.
Recent news: My Sharkies seem to be back on track, knock on wood. I went on my very first Daily roadtrip ever this past Saturday to Chicago to watch the men's gymnastics team compete in the Windy City Invitational. It was so much fun and I wanna do it again. I returned home to the lovely news that men's gym is allllllll mine for the winter. And I have an interview with Joe Catrambone, one of the freshmen on the team, today at six. All the men's gym people I've met so far are wonderful. Joy joy!
Another time eater-upper is all the reading that I have been assigned by teachers for this semester and the reading I have assigned to myself, which adds on to my weirdly afternoon-loaded schedule and doing all midweeks and covers for men's gym and making time to hang with the Bunch. I'm taking Oceanography, RC Poetry, US History, and Sociology. Most of which require a certain amount of reading every week. And John Lowe just lent me a marvelous book called The Glory and the Dream (US History 1932-1972). It is fantastically interesting and I have decided that I should read at least one chapter per night before bed. Also my Complete Works of Shakespeare book just came from home and I want to start reading that regularly. Plus I'm reading whatever small book I happen to be carrying around in my backpack, and I just got Great Baseball Writing (an SI collection) yesterday cause at home we found a 7 year old 35 dollar gift certificate to Borders, whoopee! So I want to read that too. I'm insane, I know. And I should be focusing more on school, shouldn't I? Shit. Oh well.
