A prescription for the omeprazole since it works and will be cheaper this way, plus a blood test and stool sample collection to check for H. Pylori. If negative, endoscopy, since symptoms are numerous and persistent and probably deserve a specialist's attention. Diet/lifestyle changes imminent (although I suspect based on prior experience that diet change alone will not solve my problems). I did get some good information to put me a little at ease, though - I asked if omeprazole was something it was ok to take continuously (rather than only doing 14 day treatments every three months like the inserts say), he said it would seem so and that lots of people take it as a long term treatment. That's good news for me, since it works. I think if I take omeprazole all the time, eat lighter dinners earlier, and decrease alcohol and (especially) caffeine consumption, I'll probably be feeling pretty good. Still interested in getting scoped, though, cause I don't want to be broken.
