when it rains, it apparently pours

So, we still have a hole in our livingroom wall.

It's patched up with some better plywood, at least. But that doesn't do much to quell the unsettling feeling I get when I hear tires screeching outside the house. Yes, I know the odds are ridiculously slim of another person slamming their car into my house, but even so, I hear that sound outside the house and I feel sick and I flinch.

My sinus infection is, mercifully, going away with the help of meds.

But the pipes related to the kitchen sink have been refusing to drain/move liquids properly. So we had a plumber come by and take a look at the pipes with one of their little camera toys.

And now, a few days and a large sum of money later, we've got a hole in the kitchen floor that's been filled in with cement-like material that is still drying.

The city came by on Tuesday and replaced the no u-turn sign and sign pole. The actual street name sign will be added soon-ish; it had to be reprinted.

Also, our normal parking area is under construction and it's [not surprisingly] going to take longer than originally intended. So, that's fun.

And that's how things are around here at the moment.
