Eartha Kitt has died, from cancer.
I once saw a tv interview that was done with her, on a show called "Where Are They Now?" and they were going around looking for all the folks who had been in the Batman tv series. She was Catwoman, the first ever. The interview was going on while she was practicing for a Broadway performance, and she made a comment to the interviewer "I don't need hips to get where I'm going darling," and I knew in an instant that she was beyond awesome. She was 81. An amazing life, a good life, a long life. And she will always be admired.
