Blossoms in the trees, you know how I feel. It's a new dawn, it's a new day...

So as we all probably are more than familiar with the roller-coaster ride of my health battling the traditional winter blues and colds. I don't really need to belabour the events more than my usual "emphasize a point until it gains enough mass & density that it generates its own gravity well."

Nonetheless, in the immortal words of Jesse "Have been sick. Must... par...ty. Must have fun!" I deigned it necessary to haul my well-dressed but sorry carcass out onto the streets of Melbourne with the full intention of seizing life and fun with both hands before shaking them like a British Nanny! ( There are times when one really does have to quote Family Guy. ) Must say, it's rather unnerving once one has gotten all warmly dressed to head off into the greater unknown of a Melbourne Friday night only to be faced with that rather abrupt hailstorm from sunny skies. I think I could only have been surprised more if I got slapped in the face with a cold dead fish as I walked out my front door. Really. Melbourne weather, what are you doing to me?! *shakes fist*

Dragged Soph up to Rooftop Bar, which was a lot more chilly and windy than I've previous experienced. For one of my most favourite bars with fantastic scenery ( In all possible permutations of the definition ), they have a really lousy Rosé wine. They've got some pretty good Sangiovese and Shiraz, but their Rosé was such a let down I had to promise Soph to buy her a better glass of wine at the next opportunity. And they really need to learn how to make a better Espresso Martini. Hmm, perhaps I have been truly spoilt by Double Happiness and their clearly superior-to-everybody-else Espresso Martinis. Jesse's warm punch drink was very... well fragrant would be the best word for it. Will have to try some next time I'm up there.

After a rather delicious ( if messy ) bout of wrestling nourishment to the ground and beating it senseless with eating implements, we made our way to Baroq for some quality partying. Or rather, we got there and I had glasses of what I thought was harmless booze thrust into my hands as Kelami joined us. It wasn't until after awhile that I realized it had Red Bull in it. ... After an mocha, short black and an espresso Martini. *sighs* After the third one, I was buzzing. I was the frekkin' Energizer Bunny for crying out loud! Soph had to bid a fairly early adieu to us all. Whilst smoke-free, she wasn't particular enamoured with the good mixes being played at a rather loud volume. And wow guys at Baroq are rather pushy, I had to do a re-enactment of a battering ram to get Soph to the front door. Which was duly surrounded by the thousand and one smokers no longer permitted to share with everybody inside the club. *chortles with evil glee* How does that Avenue Q song go again...?

It is not a secret that I like to dance at night clubs. And when I say dance, I mean shake my hips in a way which makes people completely disregard my claims to heterosexuality. And believe I'm a hyperactive bunny. And when I say "like", I completely and utterly mean you need crowbar to separate me from the dance floor. Oh yes, I'm one of those guys. But what I found so interesting was that apart from introductions and general activities of the night which primarily consisted of purchasing drinks and dancing, I did not say a damn word to Jesse's new housemate. ^__^ *thumbs up to self* I think that deserves a pat on the back!

Couldn't get much in the way of sleep actually. Spent a lot of time trying, but gave up and eventually settled down to just read a little bit of Kylie Chan's latest novel "Blue Dragon". ... *coughs* Finished the entire book. Finally to sleep after the birds and sunrise had started hammering into my window. *shakes fist* CURSE YOU JESSE! I'm up at 2 am on a Sunday morn because the Red Bull STILL has not worked its way out of my system yet!

So what else is newsworthy? I'm finding myself horribly addicted to Facebook. That's all that needs to be said about that. Though running into friends once thought lost to the annals of time is rather nifty.

That's all for now.
Toodles.
