Fanfiction Progress Update
I feel like I haven't checked in on a fanfiction front in a while, and probably should. It has been, after all, yet another embarassingly long pause since I've updated anything. *sigh* I am sorry. I am working on it, I promise. Here's the status of things currently in motion:
Severus, Redux: I actually have good news on this front. I have finished chapter 19, it has been alpha read and it I have sent it to the angel that is my beta, Stgulik. Once the red ink has dried, I will hopefully not take longer than a week to do brushing up and re-writes that she suggests before posting it.
Chapter nineteen marks the official half-way mark, as I am expecting this fic to be a total of 39 chapters. So yay!!! Half way there! This is a major landmark for me and the monster that this WIP has become. Would you believe when I started Severus, Redux I had the vague idea that it would be about 9 chapters long? I chalk it up now to my naivte as a brand new fanfic writer.
I have also converted what is written to HTML and uploaded it to google docs and cleaned up a few things on a minor level--a process that took several hours. So hopefully this will be easier on me to write, and easier on the people helping me to access now. I may upload to dropbox, as well, but it is not necessary right now. :-)
I'll be quietly reposting the slightly cleaned-up versions with little fanfare as I have time, and possibly re-writing the header and author notes a bit to simplify.
Midnight Blue, it's sequel, is still in the stages of planning and maybe-it-won't-happen. I'll cross that bridge once Severus, Redux has finished and I've decided definitively what to do with Scandalous.
Scandalous: Is currently on hiatus. I have not given up on it at this point, but I do consider Severus, Redux my priority. If the sudden inspiration strikes me, sure I'll write on it, but I am not currently (and haven't in a while) been actively working on it. I am sorry if this disappoints people, but I've decided it's better for me to focus on one fic at a time until complete for the time being.
Happily Ever After the Fact: Is technically complete, as I wrote it for Dragoon811 for the gift fest. However, I am not satisfied with the ending and would like to take it out and re-work it before posting it everywhere. This is why you don't see it anywhere but the fest right now.
Dramione in Fragments: This has always been just a series of linked shorts that I work on when I feel like it. It has been so long since I've felt like it that it's possible that I should just mark it complete where it stands. I didn't really ever intend for it to be a thing.
Voting is now open (a day early) at the SSHG Fic Awards that I am hosting as I will be super busy tomorrow. :-) Go check it out and vote!!
