I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas - I know I did, even though I'm still exhausted and need a holiday from the holidays! ;) 1400+km in a car in two and a half days will do that, I guess...

Christmas morning we (my mom, my dad and me) got up early and opened our stockings, then packed up the car and headed out to Kingston for a quick visit with friends there, then to Mississauga for dinner with my Uncle and his family (mostly people I've never met before, since he just got married a couple of years ago, and it was mostly her family). After dinner we drove to Guelph to sleep at my grandma's place. The next morning, we drove to Maple (near Canada's Wonderland) for Boxing Day dinner with my Dad's side of the family. Had a fantastic time, and got tons of gifts for my new apartment, which still aren't unpacked... :X

After dinner, we headed back to the farm to spend the night, and of course it was snowing, so a drive that should have taken just over an hour took almost two and a half. Eep. So I hung out with my cousin and Becky and Marc, and didn't get nearly enough sleep - a theme for the whole week, I think! After breakfast the next morning, we drove back to Kingston for lunch and another quick visit, then home to Ottawa, arriving around 6:30pm - just in time to watch the end of Canada beating Sweden 8-1 at the World Juniors.

The next morning, my mom had a doctor's appointment, so after that, my parents drove me home, and I reinstalled Windows and got my internet set up (woohoo, finally! :D), and unpacked a bit, but I'm lazy, and most of it is still sitting in a mess around my apartment. ;)

Started back to work yesterday, and man am I ever tired. But I got home last night to find that the two Sens jerseys I had ordered had finally arrived (one for my dad for Christmas, and one for me - an authentic, personalized Chris Neil jersey. It's so cool!). Had a nap, then watched some TV and did some web updates on my computer and installed some more stuff, then got bored with it and chatted with people and surfed the net.

Oh, and watched the USA vs Belarus World Junior game. *giggles* 5-3. For BELARUS. Man, who could have predicted that?? Belarus' first goal was SHORTHANDED, no less!

Gotta head out soon for work, but I just wanted to do a quick update. Mom update to follow, when I have time. Probably not until I get home tonight, since I don't usually have a chance at work, and most of my coworkers don't know about it, so I don't want them reading over my shoulder. Catch you all later.

world juniors, family, christmas, hockey
