Hello and Merry Christmas to all! :)

My family just celebrated Christmas early, since we'll be in the car most of tomorrow, driving to Mississauga for dinner at my uncle's place, and I got the absolutely most amazing gifts! I wasn't expecting anything, since I had already gotten what I thought was my only Christmas present from my parents (a 19" Toshiba TV that they gave me a couple of weeks ago so I could watch the Brad May charity game on satellite at my apartment). Well, they also got me a DVD player!! So now I can watch movies on my TV, instead of on my DVD ROM on my computer. :) This apparently was the Christmas of the DVD player, with Jason, me, my mom, and my grandma all getting one... ;)

And just so I'll have a DVD to watch, they also got me the 4-disc edition of Return of the King, and in keeping with the LOTR theme, I got LOTR Risk. Should be interesting! I also got really fantastic fuzzy blue pyjamas, an absolutely gorgeous Chinese stationary kit and a roll of calligraphy paper, and a laundry hamper for my apartment so I don't have to use a plastic bag any more! ;)

Marc and Becky (well, mostly Marc, I imagine...) got me the Daniel Alfredsson figurine by Todd McFarlane, which is very cool. :) And yesterday I did a gift exchange with Jason's group of friends, and got a beautiful set of cordial glasses and a decanter from Lisa, a beautiful cut glass candy bowl and chocolate-covered almonds to go in it (though I've eaten most of them already...) from Chris and Angela, and a cordless phone and a Sens stocking from Jason.

Paul gave me an HMV gift certificate, and Kat and Kurt gave me really cute Christmas tree ornaments when I moved out that are snowmen made of little plastic ice cubes. They're so cute. And they also gave me the gift of a copy of Windows XP so I can hopefully get my computer up and running, now that I've finally got my modem and can have internet. :)

So... whew! That was a whole lot of stuff! Much more than I was expecting, especially from my parents. They're so wonderful. :) I hope everyone else has a great holiday, and I'll talk to you all when I get back from gallivanting across Ontario visiting relatives!
