Also, it's been confirmed that Joe Sakic has a fractured bone in his cheek from getting high-sticked yesterday. He's supposed to play with a full cage/shield today, but we'll see. They might sit him to give him a rest.
And perplexingly, Forsberg was dressed and on the bench for Sweden against the U.S., but didn't play a single shift. He sat next to the backup goalie with his helmet and gloves off for the entire game. Weird.
