Ninth medal and stuff

Congratulations to Dominique Maltais for her bronze medal in the women's snowboard cross. :) Maelle Ricker, the other Canadian in the final, crashed hard and didn't finish the race. She had to be airlifted off the course, but CBC is reporting it's just a bruised hip (not a mild concussion, as they first reported), phew! The American was well on her way to gold when she decided to try a trick off the last jump and fell, ending up second to her Swiss competitor. I bet she'll never do that again!

And holy hell it's windy! CBC's weather website is saying gusts up to 70km/hr, brr! And it was loud enough to wake me up three hours before my alarm, yawn. Sucky, especially when I've had only five hours of sleep. I might need a nap after the women's hockey semis this afternoon. There's also a half-inch of ice covering everything out there. >.<

Going to my parents' for BBQ steak dinner tonight (assuming the weather's a little nicer, probably!), and then out with friends tomorrow for dinner and a movie, maybe, if there's anything interesting showing. If not we'll probably end up at someone's house watching TV or something.
