happiness in the mail...
Upon returning from Bilbao, I applied for membership in the Club Athletic because I finally wanted to be a part of this great club. With the annual fee, you support the cantera work and also get a couple of privileges, like discount in fanshops (very important! XD), free entry to matches at Lezama, priority when buying tickets for San Mamés, birthday presents, etc. etc. You also get a very nifty membership card, and three welcoming gifts: a leather book to put the membership card in, the current team poster, and a photo card of a random Athletic player.
Yesterday, I got a very official looking padded envelope from the Palacio Ibaigane in Bilbao and I immediately did a happy dance, incredibly excited about its contents.
And guess what? THEY SENT ME A PHOTO CARD OF JAVI. O__O When I applied for membership, there was NO space in the form for me to specify my favourite player, but somehow they knew. It's a little scary how well they seem to know me, but also very very awesome, of course! XD
