Welcome back to another day in the life. I'm kickin it here at work eating some lemon cream pie yogurt. I just saw that my nephew has homecoming photos up on his Myspace page! OMG!!! Aunt Mimi is all choked up now. I'm so proud of my boys! They are such a riot, too. My homecoming nephew's name is Oscar the Fourth and we called him Bubba his entire childhood. (Poor kid, I hope we didn't scar him too bad) and now he's referring to himself as O Dizzle. ha ha ha He's going to graduate this year! MY GAWWWWD! It was just yesterday when I was looking at him through the maternity ward glass. Jesse Lee is the older of the 2 boys. He graduated last year and is almost through with auto mechanics school. He sent me a text that said, "I Love You, Mimi". AWwwwww!! Such good kids! The youngest is Maximillian (Max) He's a ball of energy- DAMN! Smart as a whip, though. Keeps me running. ha ha
Work is FINALLY starting to slow down, so I have caught up on a LOT of work. I really like the new lady that was hired to run the department. She is a real management pro. Got this place somewhat organized and lemme tell you- she don't play. Anyway, school still goes well. Grades are good. My paper on healthcare rawked my English professor's world and math looks like a homerun, too, so no big worries, yet.
My main issue these days is vertigo. That is where the room and surroundings spin around uncontrollably. It makes it hard to focus and think. It comes and goes several times a day. Mostly mild but, sometimes I need a moment. It slows me down and when things reeeally start to spin, it gets worrisome. It has happened once while I was driving. I went for testing and lemme tell you- those tests are probably used regularly at Guantanemo or Abu Graib. AUUUUGGGH
The test is about shooting blasts of cold air and water into your ear until it lowers the temperature inside and then you start to spin in your head uncontrollably and your brain feels like it's going to explode. Yeah, I did that before work on Monday- what the hell was i thinkin? If you want a similar experience, try letting the air out of your tires into your eardrums. Well, the doctors think that my lupus thing is starting to effect the workings of my inner ears. I had NO idea it could do that! Freakin weird. My sis is right. I AM an alien.
Anyway, this is a great source of frustration. I need the ability to concentrate now more than ever, but I'm compromised. So, yet again, it's time to rise above. Wish me luck. Tonight, it's all about getting my homework done in record time so I can spend some quality time with my girl. We haven't been seeing each other much without some kind of something going on at the same time. Well, back to the grind. See yall on the flip side.
