Well it didn't hit Austin. Which I guess is a good thing. I was expecting the worse here. I prepared for the worse, I told everyone else to prepare for the worse. So now I guess everyone thinks I'm over worried ( Read more... )

Don't feel badly about over-preparing for Ike. We now have batteries to last for months and enough water to keep us supplied for gym visits for about 3 weeks. I also made sure that we had a charged up portable DVD player and plenty of DVDs for evening watching AND bagged popcorn if the microwave was out. ;-) But I would much rather be over-prepared and have nothing happen than stuck at home with no light and having to boil water to drink!
