Last time… We saw Skye as a young adult, as well as Dane setting up the idea of family meetings every breakfast time. After Skye’s graduation, she called an emergency meeting as she had important news… she would be marrying not Aidan but Miles. And she told her story to her family. Miles came along and asked the Bishop’s for a blessing, to which Jessica and the rest agreed too.

Want to check out Skye’s story again or if you haven’t already. Here it is:

It was the day of the wedding down at the beach, and to say we were excited would be an understatement for some, especially Lyle.

“OMG! This is gonna be great!” he grinned, whilst clapping his hands.

“Calm down, Lyle. We are all excited. My daughter is getting married.” my mother had then replied smiling.

Meanwhile, my sister Skye and soon to be brother-in-law were getting ready. I was quite surprised she didn’t want a big wedding with all her many friends, but she said this is how she wanted it, with her family. Also, Miles’ parents and family didn’t come, as I remember them they were very strict and thought he would come to regret this decision. But yeah it was a simple but lovely affair- not a true wedding as such as it didn’t have someone to officiate the ceremony, but it might of well have been.

“This is so exciting- we are gonna be married!” my sister exclaimed energetically.

“I know Skye, just calm down a little.” he laughed.

And soon enough we were about to start, mum was already crying…

And even Bella our old dog was watching, as the wedding started and they spoke their own short but sweet personal vows to each other.

“Miles, I am so glad you came back to me, I made mistakes, but then you came along and I realised you were the one.”

“And I will always honour this commitment and love you even when we have grey hair and grandchildren, and even in death.”

“And Skye, I’m so glad I came back for you, and so glad we decided to be together.”

“I will always honour this commitment and love you for ever also.”

And with that they sealed their vows kissed.

There were many tears and smiles, all around as we watched. And I admit it even I did cry… a little.

I stood watching them, they were so happy together.

And although I was sad she would be moving into her own house with Miles, I knew that they it she can make her own decisions, and I don’t need to protect her anymore because I know Miles. I know that they love and are happy with each other- and that made me smile.

I threw the confetti into the air, content.

As did the rest of us. That was one feature of a normal wedding Skye liked to keep in.

“I’m part of this crazy family now aren’t I?” Miles asked cheekily.

“Of course… unfortunately for you Miles.” my sister laughed back gleefully and jokingly.

As we hired the beach as our venue we also got the bar for free too, with Lyle nominating himself to be barman.

“Hey these are pretty good Lyle, ever thought about being a barman.” I told him.

“Hey were a band remember Dane.” he chuckled back “Maybe one day though” he added amused.

“Your knocking them a bit quick, maybe slow down a little.” I advised Nate.

“They are awesome though!” he managed to say back, between gulping his drink. I forgot how much he liked it, although he wasn’t an alcoholic or anything, don’t worry.

Meanwhile, Skye and Miles, were talking as they prepared to go back home before they moved into a rebuilt bungalow only a 15 minute walk away from us. They would take our old dog Bella with them. Seeing as the rest of us back home were always so busy, she would always be kept company by Miles who worked at home fixing things, and Skye's job at the council didn’t have too long hours. Besides Bella and some cash to get them started were perfect wedding gifts.

Skye’s POV

It was a perfect day, now me and Miles and married, preparing to start a new chapter of our lives in a new house with our dog Bella. And we were going to celebrate it in style.

“Are you ready for this Skye?” Miles queried me.

“Yes, of course I am Miles." I answered back with a smile.

“I’m so glad you came here, and well we are together.” I admitted to him closing my eyes, and settling myself into his lovely, warm embrace.

“I’m so glad to.” he then admitted to me, as our heads touched.

“Are you ready my Prince Nerd?” I then posed the question to him, jokingly, rolling my eyes.

“Well if you keeping calling me names like that.” he then teased me back.

And soon we kissed, and got dressed in more comfortable clothes…

“I forget how fit you are sometimes Miles.” I told purred

“Well fixing things is hard work.” he replied looking at me in the eyes.

And well I won’t let you know what happens next. That would be too much information…

“I love you Skye.”

“I love you too Miles.”

Dane’s POV

10 years had passed since my sister Skye’s and Miles’ wedding on the beach. And many things had changed.

We were now in our 30’s and were no longer a band or the rebels we used to be. Unfortunately this was known as the golden age of music, and bands like Sim Direction were more popular. But that didn’t bother us, we liked being a band because we were friends and we liked music, fame didn’t matter at the end of the day. And nowadays that was just how we spent our free time together. Besides, we also have found success a different way.

For example, Carlton…

Carlton by now was a scientist at the laboratory just out of town.

For a while, he ended up using the scientists place to read books because it was so noisy at home. He ended up taking a moving role working at the institute back in Twinbrook too. He also got a free house in Twinbrook for doing this. But when he is off he manages to come down for a couple days despite the 3 hour drive away.

Then there was Nate…

Nate was an athlete now, and has to go to many competitions winning a variety of medals in Decathlons. He is also got a home for free too, but it is closer to home.

This meant me and Nate could spend time together in the gym at home, and still had enough strength and energy to come to mine when he was not training. We did have good chats though.

And Lyle…

Well he became a bartender or… the fancy name they call it nowadays a mixologist.

He often moonlighted in bars around Sunset Valley, and was becoming famous for his special drinks.

Although Lyle, wanted to move out, he didn’t have enough money so instead redid Isaac’s old room. To be honest me and mum didn’t mind though. Mum needed someone to hen-peck and having Lyle still here was great, I didn’t have to organise anything with him because he lived here with me!

Plus he made great drinks!

Finally, I guess your wondering about me aren’t you?

Well I still wanted to be a celebrity and shape music.

In fact I got a job at the theatre and help with songs and shows etc. Also I was working with many famous acts on their albums too. And perhaps one day I will get an album out too.

As a celebrity I also practiced my charisma skills as well as my talents on the guitar. And soon enough more people around town were realising who I was, as I was often around town. I still also played for tips, but more for enjoyment and getting out there than for the actual money.

When we got together though it was great, and not only did we play music but we also shared our many adventures with each other.

Mine and the band’s lives weren’t the only ones that had changed though…

And that is why I was at Skye’s and Miles’ house even more these days…

“You know I don’t like you using the back door.” my sister complained.

“Hey, I like to make an entrance, sis.” I teased her whilst I smiled. “Besides you always keep the front door locked, remember.” I then reminded her. My sister still and always will be forgetful.

“Hiya Miles, are you okay.” I said to him.

“Yeah, I’m good Dane. Though I guess you wanna see him.” He grinned back.

And this is why, their child Oscar. He looked more like my mum and dad’s child, with his sandy, blonde hair and her green eyes, that I also have. He was an energetic and kind boy though.

“Uncle Dane!” He shouted. He always loved it when I visited.

“Why hello there Oscar.” I replied to him. “Wanna hug from your old uncle?”

“No thank you pwease.” he howled at me.

“Too late.” I told him.

“Uncle, your squishing me!” I could hear the muffled shrieks of the little fellow on my shoulder.

“But see Oscar your all okay.”

“Hooray!” he then exclaimed.

Every time I went over and picked him up, he felt so incredibly soft and warm. It was the most amazing feeling ever. It was what I wanted and then I had started to realise. I wanted a wife and a family, not just a job. I wanted to pick up my own child that I could love unconditionally. I wanted a wife that I could cuddle up with at night. I wanted a perfect life and I was going to reach for it. I was going to find the perfect woman and raise a family!

So yeah, that’s the end of this two part chapter. I won’t try and do this that often, but if there is too many pictures then I probably will. Anyways, enough of my babble, and I just want to know your thoughts on this chapter and if you enjoyed, with all comments welcome. Finally for a parting shot here is another picture of little Oscar.

And see you soon!
