I did this a while back on MySpace (those were the days) but now I've stumbled across if on Livejournal, so here goes.
It's the one, the only, the Movie Soundtrack Meme!
Movie soundtrack for your life. The rules:
1. Put your music player of choice on shuffle
2. Scene one = first song played, scene two = second, etc.
3. No cheating/skipping
4. Pass it on
Opening Credits: Scissor Sisters- Transistor
"There's no way to tell her now
She waits but we're getting nowhere"
(Oooh sounds like an eerie, arty flick.)
Waking Up: Me First and the Gimme Gimmes- Tainted Love
N"ow I know I've got to
Run away I've got to
Get away"
(Always a good way to start the day!)
An Ordinary Day: X-Ray Spex- I Am A Poseur
"My facade is just a fake
Shock horror no escape
Sensationalism for the feed
Characatures are what you breed"
(So, even in an ordinary day, I'm just acting out a role in order to shock people?)
Falling in Love: Simon & Garfunkel- Keep the Customer Satisfied
"It's the same old story
Everywhere I go,
I get slandered."
(Well that sounds nice...)
The Rumble: Dido- Beauty in The Breakdown
"drink up, baby down
mmm, are you in or are you out
leave your things behind
'cause it's all going off without you."
The Break-up: The Ordinary Boys- Boys Will Be Boys
"Well it's under my skin, so I can never win,
So thanks a lot,
We cheat, and we lie, and we fight.
We don't cry while we try."
(So it looks like he was playing away and put it down to 'boys will be boys.' Arse)
Getting Back Together: Alien Ant Farm- Smooth Criminal
"Annie are you ok?
Will you tell us that you're ok?"
(I got injured, struck down by a smooth criminal, and he realised he loved me after all. I hope I didn't take him back.)
Life's Okay: A- Nothing
"You could have had the lot
And if it's over today
You'll never get that thing you had together, no way
You only get it once"
(Oh... so life coulda been okay- but I ballsed it up. This will obviously be played ironically.)
The Mental Breakdown: No Doubt- Don't Speak
"As we die, both you and I
With my head in my hands
I sit and cry."
(My life movie is so depressing.)
Cruising: Architecture in Helsinki- Scissors Paper Rock
"Sneaking looks at you sleeping around,
At you, grass stained and drunk on the ground,
So we're taking you down with the scissor, paper, rock again."
The Flashback: Right Said Fred- I'm Too Sexy
"I'm too sexy for my love too sexy for my love
Love's going to leave me."
(Remembering a time when I was all sexy, before I turned into a gibbering, drunk slut- if the pervious song's anything to go by)
The Frat Party: Cat Power- I Found A Reason
"What comes is better that what came before"
(This would have to be a slow motion scene, where I'm surrounded by lots of drunk people partying but I finally realise I need to change my life around)
Everybody Dance Now: White Stripes- Blue Orchid
(Such an amazingly energetic song anyway.)
Regretting: Bright Eyes- Bowl of Oranges
"And we'll keep working on the problem we know we'll never solve
Of Love's uneven remainders, our lives are fractions of a whole.
But if the world could remain within a frame like a painting on a wall.
Then I think we would see the beauty."
The Long Night Alone: Forces of Evil- Angry Anthem
"If I had my way, I'd never speak to anyone again
I gotta say, I hate people I'm so sick of them
I just can't stand the bullshit I wish I was so far away from it
I'm just stupid and I'm angry is it immature for me to say
Fuck all you Motherfuckers"
(I finally let my anger out!)
A Death: Jimmy Soul- If You Wanna Be Happy
"If you wanna be happy
For the rest of your life,
Never make a pretty woman your wife,
So from my personal point of view,
Get an ugly girl to marry you."
(No idea- but it's a funky song.)
End Credits: Bomfunk MCs- Freestyler
"Yeah, straight from the top of my dome
As I rock, rock, rock, rock, rock the microphone"
(Again, no relevance but it's a decent song to go out on)
