Well today came with a big surprise! Driving didn't go as horribly as I thought it would- I actually relaxed into it, and started to enjoy it. We did turning today- just nipping around the estate close by and driving around in a square-which I can sort of half get. The worst thing is my steering, I'm so used to being in the Transit Van that I cross my arms and tug, whereas in this car there's power steering- so I don't need to! Plus I'm meant to do the whole 'feed-it-through' steering motion instead which, to me at least, seems to give a lot less control and takes a lot more thinking about. Still, if I have to I'll try and get used to it.
In other news, cannot wait until New York in Febrauary, all the stuff we've got planned is so excited. For anyone not in the know- I'm going to New York on a school trip with the ICT department. There's gonna be me, Becky, Jon and Cooper from my year (not sure who else) as well as some of the younger kids from the year below. I'd usually be a bit apprehensive, especially because this will be my first time on a plane, but I went to Paris last year with the same group (my first time abroad, coincidentally) and I loved it so much! We had so many quotes and theme songs (Chelsea Dagger was the main one, still do 'our' dance to it now!) This time will be even better, cause we're all even closer as a teaching group.
Oooh, and I got some amazing news today.
(Backstory: I volunteer as a teaching assistant on Thursdays, at the school where my mum works as a dinnerlady (midday supervisor is the PC term!) This is because I think I want to go into teaching as a career- and so I want to get as much experience as I can. I currently help out in Year 3)
My mum was talking to the Year 3 teacher, and apparently he really wants me to come back and help out next year. He says I'm one of the best he's ever worked with, and that I have picked it up really well. Not only that, the kids all respect me and like me! I was so proud- I've had an amazing day today. I feel fantastic.
Anyway
