Good morning. This is Arashi's Ohno Satoshi.
Every Friday I respond to the messages received on this show.

First up is this message from 17-year-old Mayu-san of Tokyo.

"Recently I've become addicted to Puchipuchi[1]. I like to pop them one by one - how does Ohno-kun do his Puchipuchi?"

It's amazing how we all know what she means by 'Puchipuchi', huh?
I used to meticulously pop them one at a time. Nowadays I just wring it like a dishcloth. Like, PACHI-PACHI-PACHI! It's irresistable. Yeah.

Mayu-san is still at that stage, huh? Still in the pop-one-by-one school. Since you're 17. Yeah. Then when you're about 25, you'll find yourself wanting to wring it like a dishcloth.

Next is a message from Komuki-san.

"For get-togethers at my workplace, the food is often served buffet-style. I'm not a huge fan of helping myself to a whole feast at buffets - is Ohno-kun the 'pick-up-an-assortment' type? Or perhaps the 'pile-on-the-favourites' type?"

I see. I'm not particularly bothered about arranging it all beautifully, but I'll pick up a whole variety of stuff. I'll try everything once, and then if there's any that make me go, Ah, yummy! then I'll go for seconds.

I guess that's pretty normal. I mean, you wouldn't know what they're like, so might as well taste them all first.

It's fun to walk around yourself and sample stuff at buffets, right? But in spite of that, we have this staff member, right. He's the same age as I am, but he'll go, "Why should I have to go to the buffet? The buffet should come to me!" ...So don't go to buffets then!! (laughs)

Continuing on we have Fuwaka-san from Sagamihara city.

"When I use earphones to listen to stuff, I can never keep them in my ears properly. They either keep falling out or they start to hurt my ears after prolonged use. Ohno-kun, you use ear monitors for the whole time at your concerts; do they tend to get displaced a lot or hurt your ears?"

Yeah, there's your average earphones, right? They don't really fit. They keep falling out. So I have earphones customised to the form of my ears. Original ones. They're one-of-a-kind.

How many years back was that? About 7-8, maybe 10 years ago they were made for me.

What's this?! I thought, They actually fit!

So when I sing and dance, they don't fall out.

But you know, it's as you'd expect. When I use them throughout a whole concert, they start to hurt my ears. Yeah. But still, they're amazing. Customised for me so that they won't fall out. Yeah. Yes.

And so with that, the weekly Friday messages have been answered. I'll be awaiting your mail. The address is arashi@fmyokohama.co.jp. I'll be waiting for you to send me lots of messages.

See you next week; this has been Ohno Satoshi!

[1] Puchipuchi is a Japanese bubble wrap company. To do 'Puchipuchi' means to pop bubble wrap (generally as a means of stress relief).
