It's Halloween!
No tricks, just treat yourself to these classic Snow Man scares!
These are pre-debut and they've probably already been subbed, but they're a fun window into Snow Man relationship dynamics and I wanted my own versions.

REFERENCES/CULTURAL NOTES/TRIVIA
2019.07.27:
➡️ Given that Snow Man weren't as well-known yet, some of the Japanese dialogue captions were incorrectly attributed by the show. I fixed the obvious mistakes, but there may still be some inaccuracies.
➡️ Mukai Koji joined Snow Man in January 2019, relocating from Osaka (Kansai Juniors) to Tokyo, so it's plausible that none of the others had been to his home before (and suspect that this was a set-up for filming).
🔹 Filmed at
Zeko Residence in Nishi-Gotanda, Tokyo.
🔹 Likely filmed on a Thursday (possibly 6 June) if the VS Arashi aired in real-time.
➡️ Gan-chan (岩ちゃん) = Iwamoto Hikaru as the 'iwa'(岩) in his surname can also be read as 'gan'.
➡️ 'Stigmatised property'(jiko bukken/事故物件) = property associated with a crime/death, which would lower its price.
➡️ Under
Articles 33 and 35 of the Constitution of Japan, warrants are required for arrest, search, and seizure (unless it is during or immediately after a crime). The warrants need to describe the place to be searched and the things to be seized, and one may refuse a search if the police do not have a warrant. Similar laws apply for many countries around the world, but please don't take a random netizen's word as legal advice, and do consult a local lawyer if you really need to know!
2020.01.11:
➡️ This was filmed in November 2019 in
Tako, Chiba prefecture.
🔹 Their accommodation was
Manpukutei.
🔹 The 'sacrifice' was filmed at the
Itsukushima shrine.
➡️ Though translated as 'Flesh Friday' in the ep, the actual term used plays on 29の日 (niku no hi) = 肉の日/lit.'meat day'
➡️ The villagers' chant (monokawa enikei) = wakamono ikenie ('youth sacrifice'/若者生贄) backwards
