[BGM 'Aozora no Shita, Kimi no Tonari']

Good morning. This is Arashi's Ohno Satoshi.
Every Friday I respond to the messages received on this show.

First up is one from Makki-san.
"The other day, I took purikura shots while holding a jumbo uchiwa of Ohno-kun. When it was done, we saw that Ohno-kun looked much cuter than either of us. Ohno-kun was beaming the cute!"

(laughs) So they attached the photo of the uchiwa. Is my face beaming cuteness? Let's have a look.

(laughs) That's really beaming! Isn't that cute? (laughs) I wonder why? My eyes have been changed. My eyes were already big to begin with, now it just looks unnatural. (laughs) It's like when I was a Johnny's Junior. Hehh, so this is how it turns out? Man, that's funny! Thank you very much!

Next, from 'Parka with a logo'-san.
"Ohno-kun, good morning. I listened to the t-shirt story from 26 June with great interest. I currently live in America and you can often see t-shirts with random inexplicable kanji on the street. According to my American friend, it seems that they think the structure of kanji looks cool. Also, Americans have great pride in the colleges they come from so you can often see people with t-shirts or parkas with the logo of their colleges. But you don't see that in Japan. Do t-shirts or parkas with college logos seem out of place in Japan?"

Ohh. Man, like, in Japan, it seems like people don't wear t-shirts with their own college logos on them but with other logos. Like American or British ones. I wonder why? Maybe they sell them at vintage or second-hand stores, I don't know.

So like, if someone from America came to Japan, even if they saw someone wearing their college t-shirt and called out to them, it's not guaranteed that they'd be from the same college. I guess it's fashion, in Japan? Maybe I should try it.

Wait, what's this t-shirt? Right now, I'm apparently wearing a shirt with some famous jazz musician on it. The one I'm wearing now. Is this fashionable? Apparently so. Folks, the shirt I'm currently wearing is fashionable! Mm. A famous jab... Jazz. I can't say it! It'll be unfashionable by the time I say it.

I'm sorry to say but I kinda just wear this to sleep. Isn't that fashionable? Wearing such a fashionable t-shirt to sleep. Ain't nobody as fashionable as this! (laughs)

Next, it's sōmen time! (clapping sounds) Since it's summer!

[BGM 'Hadashi no Mirai']

Yeah, well, we're currently taking submissions for condiments! We received a lot of submissions, so I'll read some out.

From Shiori-chan.
"Satoshi-kun, good morning. Sōmen condiments. In my home, we add the Yamagata specialities: dashi, shredded cucumbers, aubergines, okra, ginger and so on, then add mentsuyu for flavour. You might have heard of people putting this on rice but if you add this with a little less mentsuyu, it suits sōmen really well, too."
I see. There's another one like that too. From 'Comforting-type Hunk Black Cat'-san.
"My favourite condiment is dashi. "
So it seems. From someone in Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture. Ah, so it's pretty popular. This Yamagata dashi.

Right, so we have some here. How much should I add? I added quite a lot. Ah, this'll be delicious! Can't tell without trying, though. So without further ado... (eating sounds)

Ah! Ahh! Super yum! Imma add more. Ah, this is super tasty. What is it? Maybe that sticky feeling? That texture and the cucumbers adds some crunchiness. That's great too. And then there's just the right level of stickiness. (eating sounds)

This'll be great for a hangover, probably. (laughs) Ah, delicious!

So for today, that was Yamagata dashi. Please look forward to next week!

Right, we have one last one, from Iroha-san.
"Satoshi-kun, good morning. I've sent in a psychology test I'd like Satoshi-kun to try. First, lift both hands up."
Right.
"Next, put both hands on both ears. (Right hand to right ear, left hand to left year)"
Right. Done.
"Then, put just your left hand down."
Right.
"Next, face your right."
Right.
"Right, now answer the following. Are you okay with just this?"
Eh? What can you tell from this? While still in this position...?

"...This is just a sexy pose. You've been tricked! This is not a psychology test. When I was tricked into thinking it was a psychology test, I wanted to hear Ohno-san's cute voice in the morning doing it. I'm sorry!"
Hey! I was tricked! I was tricked into doing all that! So it's a sexy pose.

So right now I'm going to read the last bit while I'm still like this. The mic might not be in the right position though. This is Ohno Satoshi who was tricked by Iroha-san.

And so with that, the weekly Friday messages have been answered. I'll be awaiting your mail. The address is arashi@fmyokohama.co.jp. I'll be waiting for you to send me lots of messages.

See you next week; this was Ohno Satoshi!
