This was sent in by listener Shiorina-san. The message reads:"On becoming a working adult, I've been told by my seniors, 'Let's go for a drink next time' plenty of times but the actual success rate is about 5%. Everyone's really busy so it can't be helped, but Oh-chan, out of the various kouhai (juniors) that you've said, 'Let's go for a drink next time' to, have you actually made that come true recently?"
Ah, there it is! Um...
I've been given the opportunity to work with countless kouhai.
"Let's go for a drink next time!"
"Let's go fishing next time!"
Well, I've said that. But honestly... Ever since the time I went with Non-chan (Nozomu Kotaki) of Johnny's WEST...
I've not been for a meal with any other kouhai. Mm.
Non-chan was... probably November last year, during the (Tokyo) Dome? That was quite a while ago.
Man, there are so many. I've said it so many times.
I mean, Yamada Ryo-chan (Yamada Ryosuke)? Of Hey!Say!JUMP... When we did the 24H TV drama, I said, "Let's go fishing". We didn't go, did we? (laughs)
So like, well, honestly, I didn't go with (Chinen) Yuuri either. Not yet, anyway. And then HSJ's Hikaru - Yaotome Hikaru - we exchanged contact details, but we've not gone for a meal or anything.
And then... Kame-chan (Kamenashi Kazuya). Kamenashi-kun. Now Kame-chan, too - I said I'd treat him to sushi. I've been saying it forever. I'd treat him!
Now the timing, honestly, with Kame-chan... It never really... Our timing really never matches. When I have it easy, Kame-chan is busy. When Kame-chan's like "How about now?" it always seems to be when I'm busy. So we've not managed to make that happen.
And then Kikuchi Fuuma... I also exchanged contact details with Fuu-chan. I exchanged them with him! We still haven't been, have we? (laughs)
Same with Matsushima Sou-kun.
What's up with that? If they're like, "Isn't it about time we went?"... You definitely gotta go, right? (laughs)
Man, what, if I gathered them all up, I'd be the centre of attention, right? What should I talk about?
(laughs) Well, I guess I'll think about it more seriously.
But the kouhai, they really do invite me out of the blue. But if they suddenly invite me in the middle of the night and I say, "I can't," they don't invite me out anymore!
