[BGM ‘Seishun Boogie’]

Good morning. This is Arashi's Ohno Satoshi.
Every Friday I respond to the messages received on this show.

First up is one from Wakana-san of Chigasaki.
"Satoshi-kun, good morning. Today, amongst the J-net messages distributed there was the talk theme of what you'd like to ask from someone from Johnnys'. In Kanjani∞'s video, Ohkura (Tadayoshi)-kun said, "I'd like Ohno-kun to draw me something. I've kept asking him but he won't draw anything for me". By all means, please draw something for Ohkura-kun."

Did he say something like that? Eh, then Ohkura... I call him Chuu (from 忠, one of the kanji for 'Tadayoshi') though.

For me, it's a matter of how many years Chuu has mentioned it. I think he's only been continuously saying that for 3 years!

Now I've drawn Kamenashi (Kazuya)-kun from KAT-TUN. Kame-chan has been saying it for 10 years, though. You gotta keep mentioning it for 10 years or my heart won't be moved!

Well, the fact that Kame-chan had been saying it for 10 years surprised me. (laughs)

Chuu's only had 3 years, right? Ahh, then Maru(yama Ryuuhei)'s said something like that before. Maru's also more or less 3 years, right? Kame-chan said it for 10 years continuously! That really moved me, how wonderful!

Yeah. 'Draw me something'... What should I draw? Look, that's too vague, right? Like 'Draw a picture of me' or something. 'Draw me something' and all, that's way too vague. That doesn't make me want to draw at all.

Kame-chan, now, he wanted a picture of himself. So I did that. (laughs)

Next, from Heart-of-Cabbage-san.
"Good morning. My cat has recently started making barking noises. What should I do?"

The moment my director read this, they were like, "No way!" (laughs)

What do you mean? Like normally, it'd be like 'nyaa nyaaa', right? But it can't be like 'wan!' right? Do you mean like (makes a cat-like waaan)? I can't believe it. I don't really believe it. It's pretty unlikely it'd say 'wan'. But if it really does go 'wan!' - if you're really so confident, I'd like you to send in a recording.

If it just goes (makes a cat-like waaan) then I won't really be convinced. It'd be difficult to react, right? So it's up to Heart-of-Cabbage-san.

If it clearly says 'WAN', then... We can't really believe it otherwise, right? So on to the next.

Next, from Rino-san of Tokyo.
"Ohno-san, good morning. The other day, I heard a myth that if you bring bananas onboard a boat, you won't be able to catch any fish. It's the first time I heard it. I'm only half-convinced, but apparently this is widely known in the world. Ohno-san, have you heard of this myth before?"

I have! Well, rather than 'I've heard of it', it was a long time ago.

Um, it was around the time I made sculptures when this person, Saito-kun was introduced. So together with him and a boat captain, the 3 of us set off. So then Saito-kun just starts eating a banana as usual, and then the captain gets incredibly angry. Or rather than angry, he's like, "EH!? Saito-kun, what are you doing?!"

So Saito-kun has this confused look.

"If you bring a banana and go fishing, you won't be able to catch anything!"

(laughs) And then, commendably, once we started fishing, only the captain and I caught anything. Then Saito-kun hooked some on his line, but they all got away.

So once we took a photo with the 3 of us, there was me and the captain holding fish, and Saito-kun in the middle. So really, it seemed certain that you can't catch anything if you have a banana.

I wonder why? Since then... well, I thought it was splendid. I definitely swore never to bring bananas with me. Saito-kun probably felt that the most, huh?

[BGM ‘Sakura Sake’]

Right, next. From 'I'm becoming a fanclub member from next year onwards' of Chiba.

"Ohno-san, good morning. I have a fetish for sound effects. I especially like the sounds I can hear through the radio of pages turning or a pen writing on paper. If you don't mind, please record some sounds of pages turning."

Ohh. Unfortunately, I don't have a pen with me. I've stopped making notes for about 5-6 years already. (laughs)

In the past, I used to properly make notes, but well... Since I've been doing this for over 10 years, it's become like this.

Shall we do the sound of paper?
(sound of paper rustling)
This sort of sound? I'm really doing this properly.

Pages turning, huh? (sound of pages turning) That made a good noise, didn't it?

Eh, so right now... Now for about a week, I've been recording in the hotel. So right, here's the sound of the bed...
(sound of someone swiping at the bed)

What am I doing, so early in the morning??

Right, so here's the sound of the light switch.
(sound of something clicking)

Ah, it's switched on! Switching off!
(sound of something clicking)

How was that? You turned on? (laughs) You pervert!

Right, so the sound of paper, I'll read the last bit.

And so with that, the weekly Friday messages have been answered. I'll be awaiting your mail. The address is arashi@fmyokohama.co.jp. I'll be waiting for you to send me lots of messages.

See you next week; this was Ohno Satoshi!

Have a good day!

(sound of lots of pages flipping and laughter)
