Good morning. This is Arashi's Ohno Satoshi.
Here’s the thought of the day; come on!
"Gain victory before your 40s; remain undefeated after your 40s" [1]

This is a quote by the Sengoku period military commander Takeda Shingen-san. They had some incredible sayings from that period, huh? Yeah.
So in order to gain victory before you’re 40, you have to recklessly absorb all sorts of things. Once you’re in your 40s, it’s a matter of maintaining the level of what you’ve learnt while honing your skills in the field.
Right, Takeda-san? (laughs) Kinda said it like I knew him there.
How would that go then? But well, being 40 years old. That’s right, I’m almost 40. I’m now 32, turning 33. So that’s in about 8 more years? What would I be doing, I wonder? It’ll be right around the Olympics. It’ll be the year 2020.
Man, but you know, it’ll be 2020. I can’t believe it. Mm. I mean, “Back to the Future II”, they went to the future, right? It was what, 2015? I’m pretty sure they went there. Definitely.
But at that time I was just a kid. It was before the year 2000. 2015… I wondered if it would really be like in “Back to the Future II”. I just wondered about it.
You know, I wanted the skateboard. The one in “Back to the Future II”. Was it a skateboard? I really loved it. I really wanted one. I wonder if I could make one? I wanna make one.
That’s settled. Before I’m 40, that “Back to the Future II” skateboard… Imma make that skateboard!
So that’s in the year 2020. On the day of the Olympics, when they have the opening ceremony, I’ll be on the skateboard I made. Whaddaya think if I make one lap around the track? Right, like in the past Los Angeles Olympics.
Um, there were people with these backpack-looking things zooming around, right? I’ll do an Ohno Satoshi skateboard version of that. It won’t have any sound effects though, so it’ll be the plainest of the plain. Yeah.
It’ll be fun if I could do that! So on that note, the year 2020 - stay tuned!
