Welcome to anyone stopping by from Sew, Mama, Sew!
It's finally Giveaway Day! Are you excited? I am!
I've been working busily all day to get this finished up for each and every one of you - yes that's right, everyone's a winner here!
It's like a giveaway buffet (well, more like a two-course giveaway meal). You have a choice between a Christmas stamp design, or a Christmas quilt design... or you can join the rest of us in the silly season spirit and go nuts and pig out on both!

This is a two-stamp set, so you can stamp the ribbon in whatever colour you'd like! I chose red to match the cute mistletoe berries but you might like to match it to your gift wrap.
This one is a little fiddly to carve at this size so feel free to blow it up to whichever size you feel comfortable with!
Some tips:
Carve inside the berries and leaves before you carve around them - that way, if you make the inside a little bigger than your transfer you can always compensate when you carve outside.
To get smooth curves, turn the rubber and keep your carving tool still.

And for the quilters out there... My first foundation pieced (paper pieced) quilt!
A Christmas wreath for your front door (or a gift? Who knows!). The best thing about this is you only need to cut out two template pieces - the circle for the middle, and a triangle! I'll be posting a tutorial tomorrow (hopefully) but as long as you can count to fifteen and sew in a straight line, you're all set for foundation piecing!

Please excuse the blurry photo! I'm sure when you make yours it'll look fabulous and certainly not blurry at all!
For those who have never paper/foundation pieced before,
Craft Blog has recently done
a lovely helpful post with a lot of beginner links to follow.
(Please note: finished items aren't available as prizes, although I will have a few stamp sets up in the shop for those who don't want to carve but love to stamp. The giveaway prizes are the digitial patterns - just right click to save! Patterns for non-commercial use only.)
If you make either of these please do leave a comment with a link - I'd love to see what you crafty types come up with!
EDIT: I just wanted to reiterate - I'm not doing a pick-a-winner-from-a-hat, mail-out giveaway... Things are tight down here so I couldn't afford postage, but that works out great for you guys because in this giveaway EVERYONE wins! Just right-click to download the patterns :)
