Raid Leading - not for the weak

A few people had been asking, so I put up a Karazhan raid on the guild forum for Sunday evening, and while we eventually had to PuG a DPS and respec a few of us (me included) and ask the newbie lock to bring her well geared healer instead, we did finally stumble into the instance a little late. And keeping in mind we had no paladins for cleanses/bubbles and only one priest, we one-shotted all the bosses from Attumen -> Curator before calling it a night. We continued last night with a few substitutions. I had hubby's well geared spriest and my favorite paladin Banderas (ret tho). I wanted a third healer, so I ended up PuGing one of those, and we once again one-shotted the rest of Kara. The PuGs I've been running with over the last few months struggle on many upper Kara bosses, and couldn't get Nightbane at all, so it was a refreshing change! For the first time ever, I got to be King Llane in the chess event. It's the little things that make us happy *grin*. So we did really well...better than expected actually, keeping in mind that this night we only had one interrupt for Aran! So I was pleased with the group....mostly.

My groups' holy priest drinks (like IRL...like a fish). The tree druid likes to talk (and has a very loud voice). Put them together and I've decided that if I lead another raid, I cannot have them both in it, cause they prattle off at each other to the point where I wanted to harm someone. At prince, the tank got pushed a little ways down the wall and we had that ONE infernal drop right in front of us, so while I'm trying to get the tank to move back, he keeps running into the infernal fire so I am trying to yell at them both to move back. He died twice before we got the tank repositioned, and while he may have saved a wipe, he was QQing about being yelled at like a newb. If I'm the RL, it's my *job* to yell at you if I think it is needed! I felt a bit bad for the PuG healer, but he got a couple of upgrades and I guess he had fun (join random Kara group and half the raid is girls!) because he was asking about putting a character in the guild at the end of the run. I'd have rather taken my hunter on the run, but the lack of tanks meant I had to be one (QQ, prince dropped the bow, it got DE'd....Netherspite dropped the mail legs...DE'd....)

Briara made it to exalted with Stormwind over the weekend, so that just leaves (*just*, lol) Darnassus (very close) Gnomregan (Urg, but I have all the quests in Gnomer that I can do) and Exodar (barely revered, this one's gonna hurt).
