From the Fucked-over hard drive departmet

My roommate's laptop started giving "error while performing inpage operations" while loading his Windows XP profile. It then logged him into a temporary profile. From all I've seen on Google, this means his drive is fucked. Further evidence was given when copying his user profile onto a new account. The Copy tool in system properties threw a CRC error. Bleah. He is not happy.

I guess dead hard drives are the rage these days.
