It was February and I braved the weather,
the roads frozen over with December's rain,
to listen to two women poets read their work.

sisters are standing on their own two feet and ringing their own bells
...what a lot of people don’t realize - what I didn’t realize, until I read up on it - is that they didn’t actually kill her for heresy.
