As for the story, wish I could check it out and share your joy, but I'm a Christian, which means I 'do' think it's wrong and a sin, though I think you knew that, so... *hugs* Hey, you know I still love ya no matter what you think.
Hmm. Real Christians who actually know what it means wouldn't act like you say Jensen's parents do in this story though. It's sad so many people either meet only the wrong people who0 'claim' to be Chroistians and are really just bigots and haters, or they go by what they hear and assume all Christians are evil little people yelling and getting down on everything and telling everyone they're going to hell. Cause we're not like that. yes, we strand for what we believe, but those who are acting like they're supposed to react to people doing wrong by loving them, not screaming at them or being mean to them. *sigh*
Sorry. I was in philosophical mode. :P

and yeah, no worries. I know you are and just the same, you know I don't care either way and still love ya *smishes*
In the story, in chapter 7 ( the one i mentioned) Jared and his friends -and pretty much the entire school- are participating in the Day of Silence, and even though he wasn't planning on it, Jensen ended up joining in it. at the end of the day, there's a group of protestors outside of his school, and his mom is in the front of it and sees him.
When he gets home, he comes out to his parents, and his father punches him in the face, slams him against a wall and disowns him, so he goes to live with Jared and Sherri. (the part that made me cry way that Sherri had already done up the guest room for him months ago, because she knew it was going to happen sooner or later)
So yeah, I don't, at all, classify people like that as Christians. not in the least. they're simply hateful people, bigots, like you said.
Excerpt: He wants to know how they can survive with so much hate in their hearts. Doesn’t it eat them up inside?
It’s sort of funny when Jensen thinks about it. He’s spent years being terrified of this exact moment. It’s kept him up at night, made him cry and made him feel worthless and weak. And now that it’s here, he’s not scared. He’s actually strangely calm, a strong resolve tinged with an edge of residual nervousness.
haha s'ok, you can go philosophical on me anytime x]
