Update on life, part II
Frisbee was a good workout last night. Anyway, where was I?
Most of my classes are going pretty well, even though I haven't really had any midterms or papers due yet. I've supposedly got a music history paper due in roughly two weeks, but we don't get any guidance. No topic, no prompt, nothing. I'm kind of confused, since we haven't really learned much history yet. The professor has a Christopher Walkien-ish accent, and he doesn't actually put any emphasis on the history at all. It actually almost reminds me of Mrs. Marshall's class at Burroughs, except with even *less* emphasis on the history and even *more* emphasis on what other historians' opinions were. Soooo, I'm not looking too forward to the exams or papers in this class, but I'm hoping the TA can sort things out for us. Midterms are starting to happen this week, but I'm not too worried about these.
Not having a car is crippling me socially, emotionally, and financially. I need to just be able to up and go get a slurpee when I want one (especially now that the 7-eleven near campus lost their franchise, and is now a locally-owned convenience store calling themselves "twenty-four seven"). Also, I really want to go get a job somewhere, but nobody is really willing to hire someone who lacks reliable transportation.
I guess that's about it. Oh, no, it's not... a girl is coming over in about an hour and a half to get music theory notes from me, since she missed class on Friday. I met her last year through Bardo, and I kind of have a crush on her. We'll see what happens.
