Summary: Willow meets a girl in an occult shop.
Word Count: 536
Willow was in an occult shop looking around. Her powers had grown a bit to the point she rarely used components anymore, but it was still interesting to see what different owners acquired, occasionally they were much more powerful than the owner realized. She glanced up to see a girl with long dark hair with a prominent widows peak looking over the mediation stones. She had on jeans and a t-shirt but seemed very awkward as if they were no her clothes but what someone had influenced her to wear.
She was reaching for a Orian focus, when Willow grabbed her hand and stopped her. “Not that one, it shatters from the touch of demons, even half demons.” She mentioned matter of factly.
The girl shrank back in horror. “You.. you can tell, you can tell I am tainted?” Her pale face growing even paler than normal at Willow’s words.
Willow snorted “Tainted, smainted, you just had parents not of this plane, what’s the big deal?” Looking at the girl with a frown.
The girl blinked. “You don’t think I am tainted because my father is Trigon?” Her voice low, and barely carrying to Willow.”
Willow arched her eyebrow at that comment. “Trigon, well bigger name than most, but nah. You aren’t responsible for who or what your parents are, so why should I care? You seem way to shy to be a murdering psychopath, so we just don’t invite your dad to dinner, what’s the big deal.”
She was astonished. “You.. you would be friends with a half demon?”
Willow laughed, a sound that lightened up the entire shop. “I have been friends with two vampires, a vengeance demon, well ex part of the time, an agnostic demon, and a few others. So yeah… half demons are cool in my book, depends on who you are, not your background.” Willow replied dismissively and looked around. “I am guessing you were looking for a meditative crystal, probably to work on dealing with your heritage?”
The girl nodded completely out of her league. “Yes I was, I thought it might help.”
“Okay then, here use this one.” Dumping a polished piece of smoky quartz in her hand. “It will help focus on the thoughts you want, and lock down what you don’t. Tell you what, if you need help or a shoulder to cry on, call this number.” Willow handed her a card with her cell on it. “I know how much a friendly voice can help at times. My names Willow.”
“I’m Raven… and thank you.” The girl whispered taking the card with a shaking hand.
“You’re welcome. Stay out of trouble.” With that the red-head was gone, leaving a trembling Raven in the store.
Starfire came in, “Have you found what you were looking for Raven?” She inquired, her voice soft. She had worked very hard to get Raven into street clothes and out side the tower, and now she was worried the red-head had scared her.
Raven turned and looked at her with a slow smile “I think I might have found more. Lets..” she paused and swallowed. “Let’s go get lunch.” And she walked up to the cashier to pay for the stone.
