Word Count: 320
Summary: Faith suspects she's not the only one with a pirate in the family.
Note: Day 16. Short and choppy, cause I'm pressed for time.
Disclaimer: Not mine. BtVS belongs to Whedon. PotC belongs to Disney, though I suspect Jack Sparrow is largely Johnny Depp's creation...

Faith sighed. They’d been over the plan several times, and she still thought it was doomed.

“Look, I get it, J. But-“

She was cut off by a fierce glare from her partner in not quite crime.

“How many times? My name is not J. It is…”

“Captain Jack Sparrow. Yeah. I know. You’ve mentioned a time or two hundred. Nicknames never hurt anyone.”

He raised an eyebrow. Faith cut him off before he could tell the story. Because there was one, of course. Jack had been around long enough to have a comeback for everything. Though, honestly, none of them ever quite matched Singapore.

“Ok, almost never. Main point, we’re the only two here and you know I mean you.”

“You never know who’s listening, luv,” Jack said smugly.

Faith fought the urge to roll her eyes. Eye rolling was best left to Dawn. As was genealogy, and she intended to have Little D do some of that on her own family tree when she got back. She had her suspicions about Jack.

It had been little things. His singular conversational style. That no matter how insane his plans, they always seemed to work. That no matter how well-intentioned he was at the start, his love affair always went sour in the end- with the exception, of course, of the lasting relationship between him and his ship.

And then, of course, there was the part where he had a long and interesting friendship with her ancestors the Turners. It was the kind of relationship that defied explanation to outsiders, being composed of equal parts rivalry, brotherhood, teasing, and the sort of loyalty that would send either to the ends of the world and beyond for the other. Faith understood, because it was pretty much the same as her and B.

She really hoped she was right. It would be utterly hilarious to introduce Jack to his several times great-granddaughter Buffy.
