Sunnydale Streets

One minute, Tony was trying to convince Steve to sign the Accords so this nightmare could be over with and the next, he was standing in the middle of a random street at night with what looked like literal demons running around, chasing and ripping people to shreds. It reminded him too much of the invasion, just more gruesome in scope.

The other strange thing was that he was no longer in his Tom Ford suit. Instead, he was wearing an outfit more like Natasha would wear…and the body to fill it properly. What the hell?!

When some of the creatures came at him, he quickly put the female issue aside and powered up his gauntlet, repulsing them back across the street.

“Buffy!” a voice called from nearby and he heard somebody running towards him.

He turned with his hand outstretched, but only saw a young girl with very skimpy clothes on. She was clearly talking to him, but who was Buffy? “Excuse me, miss?” he asked. “Who is Buffy, and where am I?” Man, it was weird to hear his words come out with a feminine voice.

“Oh, who did you go as? I can’t remember the tag!” the girl complained. “My best guess is that whoever Buffy dressed up as, you’re them and a spell turned her into you…sort of. I mean, it’s still her body, but…huh, some of the people actually changed fully into their costumes, but we didn’t. I wonder why? Anyway, I’m Willow, he’s Xander and you’re our best friend, Buffy.”

“Spells? Is Loki around? Or is this some fucked up nightmare caused by Wanda to get back at me for something?” Tony demanded.

“I don’t know who those people are, apart from Loki being a Norse god,” Willow confessed.

“The guy responsible for the alien invasion of New York City a few years back?” Tony prompted.

“We haven’t been invaded by aliens as far as I know. Bad enough we have to deal with demons and vampires…I’m guessing that whatever world you came from is different from ours, but since both of them are Earth, maybe dimension or reality would be a more appropriate term?” she rambled.

Tony held up his hand to stop her, “I can’t deal with this right now. I have my own problems back in my reality. How do I get home?”

“I don’t know,” Willow admitted. “But maybe Giles can figure it out!”

“And where do we find Giles?”

German Prison

One minute, Buffy was commiserating with the kids that anyone who handed out toothbrushes for Halloween was evil, the next she was in some high-tech prison. She was so going to kill Giles for saying the holiday was a slow time for Slayers. A quick glance around told her a few things; she was a in a guy’s body - and eww, she hoped she’d change back before having to go to the bathroom! - the building was currently without power, and she was probably in a different country.

Taking out her body’s wallet, she found out she was Tony Stark…why did that name sound familiar?

Before she could figure it out, she heard sounds of a struggle coming from another part of the building. Ignoring the people around her, she started running as fast as she could. Despite being in someone else’s body, she still had her own abilities, which…yay! When she passed some guys on the floor with batons, she grabbed a couple, just in case.

She ran into a hallway where a blond guy was fighting another guy with a metal arm until the metal arm guy punched him into an elevator shaft.

“Hey, Robocop!” she yelled, caught off-guard at the sound of her own voice. “Don’t think that’s the right way to call an elevator!”

He turned, but didn’t say anything, just gave her a murder glare. Huh, tall, deadly and silent…that was terrifying. She’d have to watch the robo-arm, since it looked like it packed one heck of a punch.

Rather than waiting for him to stalk over to her, she ran at him, hoping that her larger mass didn’t affect her fighting style too much. As they traded blows, she realized right away that he was pretty strong…like master vampire strong. Even though she knew Giles and Xander would hate her for what she was about to do, she needed to get the upper hand sooner rather than later, so she swung one of the batons straight up between his legs with all her Slayer might, causing him to fall to his knees.

Then she quickly wrapped the other baton around his throat and pulled back tight to cut off his airway.

Another man, sorta weaselly-looking, tried to interfere, but she used her strength to whip the one-armed man’s body in a circle, knocking the other guy out cold. It almost cost her her grip, however, and she had to readjust her position before he could pull away fully.

She was also right about the metal arm hurting when it hit her in the head. Tony Stark was going to have one hell of a concussion in the morning. But luck was on her side when she felt him going slack in her grasp. Still, she held on until she saw the blond guy climb out of the elevator.

“Tony? How did you beat Bucky?”

Not sure what else to say, she went with the obvious, “Guy still has to breathe, doesn’t he?”

Before she could be asked any other questions she might not be able to answer, she blinked and found herself in the costume shop she bought her Halloween outfit, staring at Giles standing over the store owner.

“Tell me again how Halloween night is supposed to be quiet for me?” she demanded.

A/N: Couldn’t figure out how to end this, so I cheated and left Tony struggling to catch up in his own universe/timeline. Please no whining about how Buffy couldn’t possibly beat Bucky; super soldiers are probably similar in strength to master vamps. Honestly, it was completely unrealistic that Cap was able to hold that helicopter. If that’s how strong he really was, he’d be breaking things all the time.
