David Eddings passes away Oh no.
His books, specifically Polgara the Sorceress, was the one that opened the world of fantasy to me. Without him, I wouldn't have been interested enough to read GRRM's works, or Lynch's or Abercrombie's. Until now, I still count Silk and Belgarath as one of my favorite characters.
RIP, Mr. Eddings, and thank you.
(kinda late, considering he died June 3, but still.).
On the lighter side, please tell me
this review of Terry Goodkind's new book The Law of Nines is a hoax (or a brilliant review). There is no WAY things could be so...oh forget it. This is the Yeard we're talking about. Anything can happen.
