Christian and I met up with our regular board game group today. We've been meeting up every other Sunday or so ever since last summer, it's been a lot of fun. One of our regular players couldn't make it, so there were four of us all together today.

The thing that took me a little aback was that the win conditions are pretty abstract. Like, the game calls it "you need to solve three mysteries", when in reality what you need to do is collect a bunch of abstract clue tokens to be able to move on to the next "mystery". There isn't really much flavour text describing what the mysteries really are or what you figure out along the way ... but once you get past that, there are tons of fun to be had here.
If you're looking for a more story driven type of horror game, I warmly recommend Mansions of Madness. It's also co-op, at least if you're three players or more. It's the players versus a game master/storyteller type of thing, but the game comes with all you need to play. It's not an RPG, you do not need to make up anything or roleplay, it's a board game where one of the players get to be the monsters.
