Last weekend was Desucon: Cosplay & Japan, a geek convention focusing on ... cosplay and Japan. It's.. it's sort of right there in the name, yeah. I've never actually seen any of the Back to the Future movies... I guess I really should get on that.

I haven't rewatched the original in years. Though I do remember it really well from my childhood. It came out when I was in the 5th grade. I don't remember much from the sequels, other than Marty's mom gets a boob-job in the second (I think?) and the third is set in the Wild West.

I watched Part 2 for the first time in a long time on Wednesday (I've seen the first one a million times though). I like how much they played with the time travel aspect of everything, but I still think it's the weakest of the three movies. I also noticed the swearing more this time, but that's probably because I usually catch the movies on TV, where the swearing is bleeped out.
Oh and I definitely don't like Marty as much as I did as a kid. Every time he was like "no one calls me chicken" I'm like MARTY NO. Oh and agree with you on the Jennifer dumping. Like why even bring her in the first place.

Because they didn't intend for a sequel (say so in director's commentary to the movies), and then they wrote it in such a way she "did not fit in". (They did plan, and film, both sequels together.)
It still sucks for her, and I don't like the actress they replaced the original Jennifer with, she's too clingy. And all the throwbacks are actually because Crispin Glover refused o film in the sequels, and yet they were planned for the same past day (which is brilliant, I think).
