I had a blast at work on Friday, was given the opportunity to work on a text that wasn't a user manual, odd software strings or random website content. It forced me to get my creative juices flowing, and to come up with good solutions. It was challenging, but a whole lot of fun. I was given lots of freedom (you kind of have to when you translate works of fiction), and I had an absolutely amazing time playing around with the text to make it work in Norwegian ♥ My team leader (who's back from her vacation, huzzah!) seemed very pleased and made no alterations to my translation ;o; Such an amazing feeling. She even laughed and said it was a really fun read! :D
... unfortunately I can't tell you more about this, as I'm under a strict non-disclosure agreement, but I had to share anyway ;o;
I found a thing yesterday which kind of makes me wish I wasn't such a big fan of eBooks. Haunted Mansion stretching portraits bookmark!
For those who don't know, the first room at Disney's Haunted Mansion is a circular room filled with these portraits, though you only see the top half at first..... then the magic begins.
The bookmark looks something like this when you put it together;
With a portrait on each side, and then you slide the portrait out of the bottom part to reveal the full portrait and have it stick up out of the book. 8D I mean, this is just a fun, clever little bookmark, whether you're a Haunted Mansion fan or not.
